eMELT® Benefit#7 Outstanding vacuum environment

Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion (E-PBF) requires a high-quality vacuum to ensure stable processing and prevent contamination. The
eMELT® machine stands out with the smallest chamber volume on the market, a smart seal, and two powerful turbopumps, delivering outstanding vacuum purity.

This superior vacuum eliminates the need for expensive process gases like helium or argon, while also enabling efficient powder use and reduced scrap rate, significantly reducing material waste and production costs.

The ultra-clean vacuum also prevents oxygen contamination and enables in-situ purification of sensitive materials like tungsten, reaching oxygen levels as low as single-digit ppm. As a result, eMELT® can produce tungsten parts with the highest material properties and precise geometries, ideal for demanding applications in the defense and fusion energy sectors.

Freemelt’s advanced technology opens the door to new designs, faster time-to-market, and a more sustainable approach to manufacturing advanced materials.
