Freemelt receives second order from the US
4 Jan 2022
Nasdaq First North Growth Market listed Freemelt, whose pioneering solutions create new conditions for rapid growth and development in 3D printing, has received an order for a Freemelt ONE system from The University of Texas at El Paso, USA. The system will be used for material research and will be delivered during the first quarter of 2022.
Freemelt’s protected technology takes 3D printing to a new level and makes it possible to print products more cost-effectively and in new materials that were previously not possible to manufacture.
“The acquisition of the Freemelt ONE open-source electron-beam powder bed fusion system will expand the existing capabilities in the W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation at UTEP, to propel research in various aspects of additive manufacturing, including new materials and monitoring, and furthering opportunities for students to engage in research experiences”, says César A. Terrazas-Nájera, Assistant Professor of Research.”
The order from the University of Texas is the second to the United States in a short time. It shows that there is a great deal of interest for Freemelts products in North America, which is now and for the future one of the company’s main markets.
“The University of Texas is a leader in 3D printing and therefore one of the most sought-after universities to have as a customer. The fact that they see the benefits of our solution to enable their research and development of materials bodes well for our future in the North American market”, says Ulric Ljungblad, CEO of Freemelt.
